The Health Alliance for Chicago Comedians (HACC) is a new organization dedicated to reducing barriers to accessing health services for Chicago comedians. Modeled after the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (www.myhaam.org), we are raising money to provide direct subsidies to allow Chicago comedians to be able to better afford health insurance on the Illinois exchange, while also exploring networks of health providers that may offer free or reduced-cost services to HACC members.

We also will train comics to advocate for universal healthcare, because you shouldn’t have to be funny to live.
